Industry Experts from the World of Community Development Banking and Technology Explore Innovation and Data to Scale Green Smart Villages

iLima Digital Foundary (iLima) had the unique opportunity to moderate one of the many presentations that took place at the 38th Annual Conference and AGM of the African Union for Housing Finance (AUHF) last week. The event was held in Egypt just one week after the 2022 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP27) where members renewed their commitment to reduce global warming through a number of initiatives. Furthermore, an agreement to provide assistance to African countries to lower green borrowing costs in order to build deeper, resilient, and sustainable financing to accelerate its post-Covid green recovery was introduced.

Reson18, a targeted mobile customer acquisition and fintech platform, and iLima Digital Foundary have come together to form a strategic partner alliance that will link individuals to iLima’s African AI Construction Innovation Platform (ACIP). This  will open the door to consumers who have not had the opportunity to participate in the formal banking economy and will create new avenues of possibilities as well as access to the affordable housing market. Consumers will be connected through Africa’s mobile phone networks which will increase the reach and ensure the availability of the ACIP platform in under-developed and rural regions in Africa .

Smart Data Social Housing Platform to improve standard of living for many living in Africa

T4H and iLima Digital Foundary have formed a strategic partnership to create the first Africa Smartdata Social Housing Platform, linking the cutting edge technology of the iLima ACIP AI Construction platform with the T4H tailor-made mobile platform, C-Phone. The collaboration brings together two important approaches that focus primarily on essential housing and financial services for people with moderate incomes in Africa The first joint-product “iLima-T4H Homebuilder” will be offered on the C-Phone in September 2022, but many additional joint developments are planned.

iLima Digital Foundary has retained New York-based investment bank, Cambridge Wilkinson, to help spearhead the arrangement of capital for the transformation of affordable housing construction in Africa. Collectively, both companies have a wealth of knowledge and experience in new product development and innovation. The iLima AI-driven Construction Innovation Platform (ACIP) will be rolled out in South Africa and other parts of Africa making way for an ingenious concept that will benefit low-income individuals and project stakeholders around the world.
